No Frills was looking for a fresh new perspective in 2018 that celebrated their shopper. Working with John St. the team gave them a confident new name, Hauler. It celebrates the savvy customer giving discount shoppers a badge of honour. To help push that pride and bravado forward we started to tease the upcoming campaign through social and wild postings. There was a focus on merch which capitalized on the iconic yellow and black. This teaser campaign started gaining attention from media like BlogTo and sold out right away when launched. It was the first time merch became an integral part of our marketing.
